A collection of three items comprising a wicker basket and two decorative wooden boxes. The rectangular wicker basket is constructed from woven natural fibres and features dual handles, in a style resembling Northern Swedish folk art of the 19th century. The first wooden box is hand-carved with an openwork design featuring animal motifs, including elephants and rhinoceroses, and an integral handle on the lid. The second wooden box is a Middle Eastern marquetry box, featuring intricate geometric inlays of bone and mother-of-pearl. This box has a domed lid and opens to reveal a red velvet-lined interior with a metal lock plate. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on any of the items.
