This is a vintage Ergon industrial or medical infrared heat lamp, manufactured in Great Britain. The fixture features a metal dome reflector shade with a grey hammered crackle paint finish and a polished interior. It is mounted on a chrome-plated adjustable arm connected to a cast metal bracket designed for wall or desk mounting. The lamp retains its original red circular maker’s decal on the side of the housing, which is inscribed British ERGON Made. Inside the reflector, the heating element is protected by a wire cage and is marked ERGON 200/250V W INFRA-RED. The unit is fitted with a red braided fabric-covered electrical cord.
