A large-scale reproduction print on toned paper, after the original silverpoint drawing by Leonardo da Vinci known as The Condottiere or Profile of a Warrior in Helmet. The subject is depicted in profile facing left, wearing exceptionally ornate Renaissance-style armour. The helmet features complex foliate scrolls and a winged creature atop the crest, while the breastplate is embellished with a roaring lion in relief. The print captures the dense cross-hatching and fine linework of the original masterwork in sepia tones. The work is mounted behind glass within a substantial, dark-finished bevelled frame with a distressed, textured surface. Two small metal hanging loops are fixed to the upper and lower edges of the frame.
