A set of four circular enamel-on-metal plaques, likely of European origin and dating to the early 20th century. The collection comprises two larger and two smaller slightly domed plaques. Each piece is decorated with a hand-painted scene featuring a nude or semi-nude female figure positioned within a simplified landscape of trees and sky. The illustrative style utilises a palette of flesh tones, greens, yellows, and blues. The reverse of each plaque is finished with a pale pink counter-enamel, displaying dark firing marks and irregularities around the rims consistent with the enamelling process on a metal base, likely copper. These plaques were potentially intended as decorative inserts for vanity items or jewellery. No maker’s marks or signatures are present.
