A collection of large-diameter commemorative medals struck in gold-coloured base metal with a proof-like finish. The group includes medals from the British Banknotes series, featuring obverse designs of a White Note (1793-1951), Emergency War Time Issue Series A £1, and Portrait Series C £1. These medals share a uniform Britannia reverse with the legend BRITISH BANKNOTES and a heraldic lion emblem. Also included is an Edward VIII commemorative crown-style medal, featuring an Edward VIII portrait reverse and a royal coat of arms obverse with the legend ONE CROWN 1937. All items are housed in individual clear plastic capsules.
