A Jewish ceremonial Kiddush cup of continental origin, constructed from 800 grade silver. The flared bowl features extensive repoussé and chased decoration, including a central cartouche with the Hebrew inscription בורא פרי הגפן which translates to Who creates the fruit of the vine. The surrounding ornamentation consists of grapevine and foliate motifs, while the lower portion of the bowl is finished with a textured scale pattern. The cup is supported by a baluster stem on a circular stepped foot. The rim of the foot is stamped with an 800 hallmark indicating a silver fineness of 800/1000, alongside an unidentified circular punch.
