A mid-20th-century British military pattern Sam Browne belt set, typical of those used by officers during the First and Second World Wars. The set is constructed from stitched brown leather and includes a wide waist belt and a single diagonal shoulder cross-strap. The waist belt is fitted with a double-prong metal buckle, several D-rings, and a metal hook designed for the attachment of field equipment such as a sword frog, holster, or map case. The cross-strap is adjustable with a smaller single-prong buckle. No visible maker’s marks, military broad arrows, or date stamps were observed on the leather or metal components.
