A collection of antique and vintage miniature playing cards, intended for the game of Patience, of Swiss-German or German origin. The cards feature double-ended court card illustrations marked with the letters K, D, and B, signifying König, Dame, and Bube. The collection includes multiple partial or near-complete decks with various decorative reverse designs, including edelweiss floral motifs, ornithological illustrations featuring birds on branches, and landscape scenes. One souvenir card is present with a topographical view and the text Genf – Genève. The cards are printed on cardstock using lithographic techniques. Accompanying the collection is an original small cloth drawstring storage bag with an attached paper label printed with № 1163 and Patience-Karten. The cards are currently housed in modern clear plastic binder sleeve inserts for preservation.
