A Royal Crown Derby fine bone china plate of circular form with a slightly flared rim, decorated in the traditional Imari palette. The ornate design features a central six-lobed floral star motif surrounded by twelve alternating panels of stylized iron red flowers on cobalt blue grounds and geometric honeycomb diaper patterns with pink fan accents. The decoration is executed with transfer-printed outlines, hand-painted enamels, and extensive hand-applied gilding. The underside of the plate bears an iron red printed backstamp consisting of a crown above an interlaced ‘AV’ cypher, within a circular border reading ‘ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLISH BONE CHINA’. Above this mark are the pattern number ‘1128’ and the Roman numeral year cypher ‘XLIII’, indicating a manufacturing date of 1980. Additional hand-painted marks include a small red ‘x’ and a faint green ‘h’.
