The vessel is of hexagonal form with a pull-off lid, featuring a darkened, antiqued finish. The body of the box is decorated with relief patterns of stylized floral sprigs and scrolling foliage, while the lid bears a geometric six-pointed star design. The interior of the lid is incised with the number 027.
