A large-scale religious chromolithograph from the late 19th or early 20th century, depicting the Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes to Saint Bernadette Soubirous. The central figure of the Virgin Mary is shown standing within a rocky grotto, attired in white robes with a blue sash, her hands joined in prayer and a rosary draped over her arm. Her halo is inscribed with the French text JE SUIS L’IMMACULÉE CONCEPTION. In the foreground, Saint Bernadette is portrayed kneeling in traditional 19th-century peasant dress, including a red skirt and head covering, also holding a rosary. The print is housed in a period bevelled wooden frame with a dark stained finish and protective glass. The composition features a rich palette with soft tonal gradations and floral accents surrounding the grotto.
