A collection of ceramic tableware featuring an octagonal chinoiserie style planter? / punch bowl? of flared form. The vessel is decorated with blue underglaze transfer-printed panels depicting alternating motifs of grape clusters with vine leaves and peony-like floral blooms, finished with a scrolling border at the rim. This is accompanied by a set of matching glazed white earthenware soup bowls, each featuring a footed base and moulded lion-mask handles to the sides. The collection also includes a festive rectangular tray with a scalloped edge and a cylindrical jam pot with a notched lid. The tray is decorated with a central transfer-printed Christmas tree motif surrounded by holly sprigs, while the pot features a red poinsettia and white flower design with holly leaves. All festive pieces are finished with a fine green line to the rims.
