A group of four hand-carved wooden objects in the Kamba style, East Africa?. The collection includes a figure in a contemplative pose seated on an integral square plinth, featuring a pointed headpiece adorned with fibre binding and a black animal hair tassel. A smaller figure is carved in a squatting position with natural fibre adornments at the head and waist. The group further comprises a male figure standing with arms folded, wearing a flat-topped coiffure, and a separate carved bust of a male figure with a textured coiffure and elongated ears. Each piece is executed in a dark-stained wood with visible chisel and gouge marks. The standing figure shows significant areas of lighter wood grain exposed on the raised edges, torso, and head. The bases are generally rough-hewn, and no maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
