A polychrome ceramic table lamp and separate ceramic pedestal base. The lamp features a figurine of a woman in early 20th-century costume, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and flowing coat, carrying a small dog. The figure is mounted on a circular, polished wood base with a small gold-toned metal plaque. The plaque is inscribed with the cursive characters Giuseppe Armani. A brass-toned metal stem supports a bayonet cap (BC) lamp socket and a wire-frame shade carrier. The separate ceramic pedestal is of waisted, oval form with a scalloped rim, decorated with relief-moulded rococo-style scrolls and foliate patterns highlighted in gilt metal effect paint. The brown electrical flex is currently severed at the base, showing exposed blue and brown wires, and will require professional rewiring.
