A Royal Doulton Fenland pattern earthenware serving set, featuring two rectangular twin-handled tureens with matching lids and stands, and a small ceramic ladle. Each piece is decorated with transfer-printed and hand-coloured marshland scenes depicting mallard ducks in flight amongst reeds, set against a cream-glazed ground. The bases bear a brown printed mark featuring a lion standing upon a crown, beside a circular mark reading ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND, and the text FENLAND. Rd. No. 763035 D. 5100. Included in the collection is a large earthenware tureen and cover of ornate oval form, featuring a finial modelled as a seated nude youth. The body is heavily moulded with gadrooned bands, floral rosettes, and classical figures in relief, finished with a cream glaze and dark pigment accents. The lot further comprises a porcelain tea service featuring a pale yellow ground with gold-toned filigree borders, a white porcelain octagonal teapot with multi-coloured floral sprays, a large blue and white transfer-printed meat platter with floral motifs, and a white glazed wall pocket modelled as a cornucopia with gilt-metal effect wheat ears.
