A mid-20th century brass magazine rack of rectangular, flared form. The piece is constructed from brass sheet metal with a dark brown painted interior and base. The front panel features a prominent cast brass applique in a Neoclassical style, depicting a draped rope with tassels suspended from two circular bosses. It is fitted with a fixed, tubular C-shaped handle that spans the width of the interior. The rack is supported by two stepped bracket feet secured to the base with brass-tone plates. The underside of these plates shows two circular apertures, which are not legible as a maker’s name. No signatures, maker’s marks, or manufacturer labels are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
