A Victorian style electric table lamp of tall, slender form. The lamp features a circular fluted base rising to a stepped columnar stem, all rendered with a polished gilt-metal effect finish. The central body incorporates a translucent pink glass reservoir in the manner of a traditional oil lamp. This is surmounted by a decorative openwork gallery supporting a modern bayonet-cap lamp holder. The assembly includes a burner-style control knob bearing a small circular embossed mark, although the central character is not clearly legible. The lamp is fitted with a dome-shaped cream fabric shade with a scalloped lower edge, finished with gold and green cord braiding. Suspended from the rim is a deep tiered fringe of clear and amber-toned glass bugle beads, interspersed with emerald green glass teardrop pendants. The item is wired with a gold-toned flex, an in-line thumb switch, and a UK 3-pin plug.
