A maritime-themed decorative shadow box featuring a collection of miniature nautical knots and instruments. The central focus is a wooden model of a three-masted sailing ship, bearing a brass-toned plaque inscribed Mayflower. Positioned below the ship is a central quartz clock with a white dial and Roman numerals, marked QUARTZ at the six o’clock position. This is flanked by a circular thermometer and a hygrometer, both housed in gilt-metal effect bezels. The display includes ten hand-tied white cordage knots, each identified by an individual brass-toned plate: Reef Knot, Surgeon’s Knot, Bowline on the Bight, Anchor Bend, Mast Head Bend, Double Sheet, Sheet Bend, Bowline, French Bowline, and Double Carrick Bend. The interior is lined with dark blue fabric and bordered by a continuous white rope with decorative corner knots. The whole is encased within a glazed wooden frame with a gold-toned inner slip.
