A pair of porcelain cat figurines, each modelled in a seated posture upon a rectangular cobalt blue base. The cats are finished in a white glaze, decorated with orange-red patches to the ears, backs, and haunches. Each figure wears a moulded blue ribbon tied in a bow at the neck. The facial features include yellow-painted eyes with black pupils, black whiskers, and a yellow-painted muzzle. The underside of the bases is not visible, however, a small blue marking is present on the back of the head of one cat. The upper surface of the cobalt bases shows some indistinct gilt or white markings, though no legible maker name or model number can be identified.
