A French wooden trade violin produced by the Jerome Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) workshops of Mirecourt. The instrument features a two-piece wooden back with a reddish-brown varnish, characteristic of the workshop’s output. It is fitted with an ebony? or ebony-stained fingerboard, tailpiece, and chinrest. Visible through the treble F-hole is a printed rectangular paper label with a decorative border reading MEDIO-FINO. The violin is accompanied by a wooden bow with a horsehair ribbon and a black coffin-style hardshell case featuring a light blue fabric-lined interior and a leather closure strap.
