A large, decorative oval wall mirror featuring a Neoclassical style frame. The frame is constructed from a moulded material with a bright gilt-metal effect finish, featuring a classic convex profile. The design is embellished with four symmetrically placed foliate and shell-like motifs at the compass points, further detailed with a beaded pearl course border along the inner sight edge. The reverse is finished with a brown hardboard panel secured by metal glazing points. The backing is fitted with dual-orientation cord hangings, allowing the piece to be displayed in either portrait or landscape positions. The mirror plate is clear and shows no signs of silvering loss.
