A heavy cut crystal ships decanter of wide-bottomed, flared form. The body is decorated with an intricate deep-cut diamond pattern to the lower section, transitioning into a faceted step-cut neck. It is fitted with a wide-brimmed sterling silver collar which bears a full set of British hallmarks including the maker’s mark DS over S in a shield, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the date letter g for 2006. The decanter is accompanied by its original faceted globular stopper featuring matching decorative cutting. The glass exhibits high clarity and brilliance with a well-ground joint.
