The unit features a polished wood-veneer front panel with a central gold-tone metal crown emblem and curved metallic gold-painted side resonators. The reverse consists of a textured brown backing board with white electrical wiring. The backing is printed in white with the manufacturer and model information: V&E Westminster 8 note ELECTRIC DOOR CHIME, V&E FRIEDLAND LTD. MACCLESFIELD CHESHIRE MADE IN ENGLAND. It includes operating instructions stating WARNING DO NOT CONNECT DIRECT TO MAINS USE OUR CONSORT 16 VOLT TRANSFORMER and THIS CHIME HAS BEEN CAREFULLY TESTED AND ADJUSTED. DO NOT TAMPER WITH MECHANISM AND NEVER OIL THE PLUNGER. A yellow adhesive label is present, reading MARK II WESTMINSTER CHIME with technical specifications and the service department number 60.MK II.
