A working model stationary steam engine constructed with a horizontal brass boiler and a red-painted die-cast metal base. The engine features an oscillating single cylinder, a flywheel with a red-painted centre, and a detachable black chimney. The chimney is marked vertically with the letters M A M O D. The boiler is fitted with a safety valve and a brass whistle. The engine is accompanied by its original cardboard box which is printed with the text Mamod, Made in England, Since 1937, SP2 Working Stationary Steam Engine 1332, and C143. A tick is marked next to the text STD (as shown). Accessories include a plastic bottle with a label reading LUBRICATION OIL LUB 1, a blue cardboard box for solid fuel tablets reading 20 WAX…, a silver-toned metal burner tray with a black handle, a black plastic funnel, and a Mamod Working Model Steam Engines instruction booklet. A white adhesive price label on the box reads £113.50.
