A collection of UK and world numismatic items accompanied by a small enamel badge. The lot includes a green Bank of England Series C one pound banknote featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the signature of Chief Cashier J. B. Page. The assorted coinage consists of copper alloy and white metal? pieces from multiple nations, including a 1922 Commonwealth of Australia half penny, several George V and George VI pennies and farthings, a South African sailing ship penny, and an East African perforated 5 cent piece. Continental European issues are present, including Italian L. 100 and French Republic coinage. The lot is completed by a blue and white enamel nautical pennant badge inscribed FERRY. Legible inscriptions include BANK OF ENGLAND I PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND THE SUM OF ONE POUND and LONDON FOR THE GOV AND COMP OF THE BANK OF ENGLAND, signed J. B. Page. The Australian coin is marked COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA, ONE HALF PENNY, 1922. The 1922 Australian half penny is a notable date within the Commonwealth series.
