A bronzed figure depicting a crouching feline, likely a panther or cougar, rendered in a naturalistic style with a dark brown patinated finish. The animal is captured in a dynamic, low-slung pose with its head turned slightly, exhibiting detailed muscular definition throughout the body. The figure is cast onto an integral ground-textured base, which is secured to a substantial, polished black marble plinth featuring distinctive grey and white veining. The bronze base near the rear of the animal bears a partially legible incised signature, appearing to read H. A. R. followed by further indistinct characters. The sculpture exhibits a textured surface throughout the metalwork to simulate fur and muscle tone.
