A bronzed group figurine depicting the Three Graces, a classical subject inspired by the daughters of Zeus. The sculpture features three nude female figures in a circular embrace, rendered in a neoclassical style with idealized anatomical forms and elaborate braided hairstyles. The figures are positioned upon a textured, integral rocky base, which is set atop a further bronzed plinth. This entire structure is mounted to a rectangular black marble? base with white veining and bevelled edges. The work is finished with a dark brown patinated effect, with some lighter surface tones in the recesses of the drapery and hair. A small, indistinct green-toned mark or residue is visible on the underside of the bronzed plinth. No maker’s names, foundry stamps, or signatures are clearly legible on the surfaces of the cast or the base.
Length: 33 cm x 20.3 cm.
