The hand-painted character is depicted in a yellow clown suit with a ruffled white collar and black buttons, positioned atop a grey? stepped base. The figure holds a metal crank handle which operates a rotating black fabric scroll printed with the text Camberwick Green in yellow? lettering. The assembly is further decorated with a lute? and a bell attached to the wooden? frame. The base contains a wind-up musical mechanism operated by a metal T-bar key to the rear. The underside of the base features a green printed circular mark reading The Camberwick Green Collection, CGMB3 THE CLOWN MUSICAL BOX, Robert Harrop Designs Limited.
