A vintage industrial-style benchtop storage cabinet of rectangular form, constructed from grey-painted sheet metal. The unit features thirty individual clear plastic drawers arranged in a three-column by ten-row grid, each fitted with an integral handle. The cabinet contains a substantial collection of new old stock (NOS) electronic components, primarily focused on Dual In-line Package (DIP) integrated circuits (ICs) mounted on black anti-static conductive foam. The drawers contain a diverse assortment of logic gates, microcontrollers, IC sockets, electrolytic capacitors, ribbon cable connectors, and resistors.
Several drawer fronts contain hand-written paper identification inserts including labels for ST6 and ST7, ELECTROLYTIC CAPS 50v – 4.70μ, and I.C. SOCKETS. Visible IC markings include part numbers 74LS139N, 74LS138PC, SN74LS00N, TC4539BP, and HCF4017BE. A group of ST62E15F1 microcontrollers featuring quartz windows for EPROM erasure are present. Visible manufacturer logos on the components include the ST logo for SGS-Thomson, the RS monogram for RS Components, and the F logo for Fairchild. A yellow adhesive label to the top right of the cabinet is marked with the number 5258.
