An assortment of eight graduated plates and shallow dishes executed in the Celtic Revival style. The collection is constructed from heavy cast metal, including examples in bronzed metal and others in cast iron? with a dark charcoal-grey finish. The decoration features intricate high-relief interlaced knotwork, zoomorphic serpent-like forms, and geometric motifs characteristic of Insular art. The group includes three large plates with dense all-over knotwork, two medium-sized plates featuring a recessed central well and wide decorative borders, and three smaller dishes. One small dish displays a design of two interlaced fish, while another features a single serpent motif. The surfaces exhibit varied finishes including a reddish-brown rust-like patina and areas of green verdigris oxidation. No maker names or marks are legible on the upper surfaces.
