A bronzed spelter? figural table lamp featuring the study of a youth in a wide-brimmed hat, depicted in a kneeling pose upon a textured rocky base. The figure is shown in the act of placing a spherical art glass shade onto a small rectangular stand. The glass shade is constructed from mottled reddish-orange glass with dark purple and blue inclusions, creating a marbled effect. The base of the sculpture bears the incised signature A. Rousseau. The lamp is fitted with a black electrical flex, an in-line thumb switch, and a UK three-pin plug.
