A pair of decorative bird sculptures, likely representing doves or pigeons, constructed from wood and mounted atop integral classical-style pedestals. The figures are depicted in contrasting poses: one leaning forward with its head lowered, the other with its head tilted slightly upwards. Both birds are perched on square-sectioned pedestals featuring tiered bases and moulded tops, reminiscent of stone garden plinths. The pair is finished with a heavily distressed, off-white surface coating, which has been abraded to reveal dark underlayers, simulating the appearance of weathered stone or aged garden ornaments. The wood grain and construction joins are partially visible beneath the thick, textured finish. The pedestals follow a traditional architectural form with a central block and stepped capital and base.
