A Gaugemaster electronic locomotive controller, Model D, designed for twin-track operation. The unit is housed in a rectangular metal chassis with a textured brown finish. The cream-coloured faceplate features two independent control sections, each comprising a large black plastic rotary regulator knob with a silver-coloured centre disc graduated from 0 to 90, a black plastic direction slider switch, and a red indicator light. The faceplate is printed with a steam locomotive logo above the script “Gaugemaster” and the text “Electronic loco controller”. The sides of the chassis are fitted with multiple screw terminals for track and accessory connections. The unit is supplied with its original cardboard box, which features orange and black printing including the manufacturer’s name and “MODEL D”. A yellow adhesive label on the box reads “11.58” and a second label is partially obscured but reads “39.95”. The controller is fitted with a black power lead and a white three-pin UK plug.
