An Art Deco travel alarm clock of architectural, stepped form. The timepiece is housed in a white metal? case, showing a copper-toned base metal? where the surface finish has worn. The square dial features a textured trellis pattern with raised Arabic numerals, a railway-track minute ring, and a subsidiary alarm setting dial above the 6 o’clock position. The dial is marked BAYARD LUXE and FRENCH MAKE. The mechanical eight-day movement is accessed via a backplate with a regulation lever and knurled adjustment knobs. The backplate is inscribed ECHAPPEMENT ANCRE EMPIERRE and LEVER ESCAPEMENT JEWELLED, alongside FRENCH MAKE and a hand-inscribed number 51500. The clock is contained within its original? four-part folding presentation case, finished in a blue leatherette? material with a brass-tone filigree latch.
