A pair of folding pocket knives featuring handles constructed from white metal, likely nickel silver? or a similar alloy, showing significant surface patination and tarnish throughout. Each knife has a single steel blade, currently closed, and a simple pinned construction. The handles are stamped vertically with a series of individual punches. On both examples, the marks read from bottom to top as W, R, followed by two stylized six-pointed star or sunburst symbols, and the letter S at the top. These marks correspond to the trade mark of W.R. Humphreys & Co. of Sheffield. The knives are designed for utility, with one retaining a circular lanyard ring attached to a loop at the pommel; the other knife retains the attachment loop but is missing the ring. The internal springs and blades show heavy oxidation and surface corrosion characteristic of aged utility cutlery.
