An assortment of five vintage folding pocket knives of various patterns and sizes. The group includes a large folding fish knife featuring a main blade and a serrated scaler with hook remover tool, fitted with deeply jigged synthetic? scales and a rectangular white metal shield embossed with the words FISH KNIFE. Also present is a Barlow style pocket knife with black jigged synthetic? handles, possibly Bakelite?, and large white metal bolsters. The collection further comprises a jack knife with an oval white metal shield inlay and jigged synthetic? scales, a slim pen knife with mottled spotting to the handle, and a miniature pen knife with jigged stag-horn effect scales. The knives are constructed with carbon steel blades and nickel silver? or white metal bolsters and pins. Several blades exhibit significant oxidation, pitting, and evidence of historical sharpening. While various marks are visible on the tangs, they are not legible as specific maker names.
