A 19th-century? mahogany bow-fronted chest of drawers, likely George III or Regency period, featuring a two-over-three configuration. The chest is constructed with a crossbanded and reed-edged top above five graduated drawers. The drawer fronts exhibit figured mahogany veneers with a crossbanded border and are fitted with turned mahogany knobs and inset brass escutcheons. The piece is supported by a simple plinth base. Hand-dovetailed joints are used in the construction of the drawers. The side panels are constructed from mahogany veneer. The bottom right drawer pull exhibits a different tone from the others, suggesting it may be a later replacement. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
