A late Victorian mahogany? two-piece sideboard comprising a base cupboard and a removable decorative superstructure. The upper section features a tall, arched backboard with elaborate hand-carved foliate and fleur-de-lis motifs to the crest and shoulders, supported by two scrolled and pierced corbel-style brackets. The base section has a rectangular top with a thumb-moulded edge. The front is configured with two cupboard doors, each decorated with a raised, arched panel. The right-hand door opens to reveal a single vertical wooden divider creating two interior storage compartments. The piece is finished in a deep reddish-brown mahogany stain with a polished surface. A small brass-toned keyhole is present on the central stile. The interior shows simple wooden shelf supports and typical wear to the unfinished wood surfaces.
