A single strand necklace of graduated oval beads, appearing in a uniform butterscotch or egg yolk yellow hue. The beads are of a dense, opaque character, exhibiting a warm translucent glow when subjected to backlighting. Each bead is shaped in a smooth ‘olive’ form, tapering in size from a large central bead towards the terminals. The piece is strung on a white cord with individual security knots placed between the larger beads. The necklace is joined by a concealed barrel screw clasp integrated into two terminal beads of the same material. The uniform colour and texture are characteristic of phenolic / amber? resins from the early to mid-20th century.
