A military Sam Browne belt and single cross-brace shoulder strap, constructed from dark brown leather. The belt features a wide, reinforced design with a double-prong brass buckle and multiple brass D-rings for the attachment of field equipment and the cross-brace. The shoulder strap is fitted with a brass stud fastening and corresponding leather keeper. Stamped markings are present on the reverse of the buckle tab, which is impressed with the characters 38-39 above JHB 1975, and LEIBOWITZ BROS? beneath. The JHB designation indicates production in Johannesburg, South Africa. The leather is finished with stitched borders and features a traditional polished exterior surface.
