A pair of turned wooden vases featuring a bulbous base and a tapered, trumpet-style neck with a flared rim. The exterior of each vessel has been worked with a dense, stippled or pyrographic texture to create a darkened, pebbled ground. This textured surface is decorated with hand-painted botanical motifs in a naturalistic style. The design depicts large, variegated leaves in shades of green, yellow, and russet, accompanied by clusters of pink and red berries on trailing vines. The interior of the neck and the rim display the natural exposed wood grain. These items show no readable maker marks or signatures.
