Each box features a leather securing strap with a metal buckle and a corresponding metal lock plate. The interiors are lined with a cream fabric decorated in a geometric pattern of fine blue stripes, overlaid with a floral motif featuring red, blue, and white blossoms. One of the containers includes an internal gathered fabric pocket positioned to the side. The exterior material shows a consistent grain finish, and the lid of one box displays a strap with a central metal buckle. No maker marks or inscriptions are legible on the surfaces of either piece.
