A pair of vintage wooden Pelham Puppets marionettes in their original yellow cardboard boxes. The first puppet, identified as Gretel, features a painted wooden head with blue eyes and blonde synthetic hair. She is dressed in a traditional European folk-style costume comprising a red cotton blouse with green and yellow patterned trim, a brown skirt, and green wooden feet. The puppet is attached by multiple strings to a wooden cross-bar control. The second puppet is Mitzi?, featuring a pink-painted wooden head with red lips, blonde hair, and a red felt hat. Her attire includes a white blouse, black bodice, and a blue and purple patterned skirt with a lace hem, finished with yellow wooden feet. This marionette is likewise operated by a wooden cross-bar mechanism. Both figures are housed in their original yellow boxes featuring graphics of a drummer and a clown. The Gretel box bears a white adhesive label printed SL GRETEL and two small stickers reading 1009. The Mitzi box lid has a circular adhesive label with the handwritten red ink inscription SS MITZI.
