A large, heavy-duty industrial or maritime? wall-mounted spotlight of cast metal and enameled construction. The fixture features a deep bowl-shaped housing with a dark enamel finish, mounted within a substantial U-shaped oxidised iron? yoke and circular wall plate. The interior is finished with white vitreous enamel to act as a reflector. The flat circular glass lens is secured by a heavy metal rim and a hinged clamp mechanism with brass wing-nut fasteners. An illegible mark? is present on the outer rim of the lens casing, including the numeric characters 1570. The lamp retains a section of truncated electrical cable and a green-painted cylindrical neck.
