A mid-20th century mechanical mantel clock featuring a dark-stained wood veneer case with a curved tambour top and decorative scroll-work molding to the lower edge. The clock is fitted with an 8-day mechanical movement and a two-tone dial. The outer chapter ring is finished in a cream tone with raised silver-tone Arabic numerals, while the central section features a matching wood veneer. The dial is protected by a circular glass door within a chrome-plated bezel. The dial is printed with the cursive brand name Bentima above the arbor, and is marked 8 DAY below the arbor. Along the lower edge of the dial, it is marked MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. The clock features three winding arbors, suggesting a chiming movement, and is accompanied by a double-ended metal winding key. The word CHIME is partially visible at the 12 o’clock position under the bezel rim.
