A set of counterbalance kitchen scales manufactured by Librasco. The instrument is constructed with a substantial cast iron body finished in black, supporting two brass pans. The larger pan is of an asymmetrical pouring form, while the smaller circular pan is designed to hold the accompanying set of graduated bell weights. The central base of the frame features a white transfer logo consisting of a stylized L followed by ibrasco, with the text MADE IN ENGLAND positioned below. Additional identification is provided by the words MADE IN and ENGLAND cast in relief on the upper surface of the iron frame. The set includes multiple brass bell-style weights, including one marked 1lb and one marked 8oz, along with several smaller fractional weights. The mechanical components comprise a central pivot system and traditional balance beam assembly.
