A British-style protective steel helmet, commonly known as a Zuckerman or civilian protective pattern, finished in a dark blue paint. The helmet is constructed with a high-crowned conical dome and a narrow, slightly flared brim. The front of the dome bears a curved, rectangular black adhesive decal featuring the word POLICE in uppercase yellow block lettering. A single rivet or vent is positioned at the apex of the crown, and additional rivet holes are visible around the base of the dome where the internal liner and chin strap would have been secured. The blue finish is applied over an earlier dark grey or black layer, which is visible in areas of paint loss. The helmet is currently a shell only, lacking all internal components.
