A collection of three works of art and ephemera comprising two oil paintings and a religious document. The primary work is a large impressionistic oil on canvas board depicting a Parisian quay with figures, a bridge, and Notre Dame Cathedral in the background. The scene is rendered with heavy impasto and a vibrant palette, bearing the signature BURNETT in the lower right corner. It is housed in a wide, light-wood frame. The second work is a winter landscape oil painting on canvas board, depicting a snow-covered cottage at sunset with a prominent tree in the foreground. This piece is signed Gail ’93 in the lower right and is set in a thin gilt-metal effect frame. The third item is a printed and hand-illuminated religious document, likely a Papal Blessing, dated 1961. The document features calligraphic text beginning Most Holy Father and mentions a special apostolic benediction. It includes decorative floral borders and four circular architectural vignettes of Roman basilicas. A central circular aperture, where a photograph was originally mounted, is now vacant. This document is presented in a deep-coved, ornate composite gilt-metal effect frame with scrolling foliate and shell motifs.
