A Chinese hardwood occasional table of octagonal form, likely dating to the 20th century?. The table top features a centrally incised scene depicting a traditional four-clawed dragon amongst stylized clouds, flanked by a circular landscape medallion containing a pagoda and bridge. The decorative scheme is enclosed within a Greek key meander border with floral corner motifs, all finished with ebonised or darkened pigment. The wooden surface is protected by a removable octagonal glass panel secured by four white metal clips. The structure is supported by an X-frame folding base consisting of four vertical legs and two shaped horizontal feet, allowing the table to be stored flat. The timber is finished with a dark reddish-brown stain.
