A pair of white metal pedestal bowls of Neoclassical design. Each vessel is of boat-shaped form, featuring a beaded rim and flanked by two high-swept loop handles. The body is supported by a waisted pedestal stem with a beaded collar, set upon a square base with four small ball feet at the corners. The pieces exhibit a white metal finish over a copper core?, with the underlying base metal clearly visible across most surfaces due to extensive wear. The interior and exterior surfaces show significant patination and tarnish throughout. No assay marks or maker’s marks are discernible.
